WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER KENT: YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Sorry, no! While I celebrate all couples and their weddings, I kindly decline church weddings due to my technical expertise and style limitations. You deserve a photographer who can fully capture the beauty of your church ceremony, so I avoid taking on projects where I can’t deliver my best. If it helps, I’d be more than happy to recommend another amazing wedding photographer in the area.

  • While I’m not taking 2027 bookings just yet, I’d still love to hear from you! Simply share your wedding date here, and I’ll add you to my waiting list. You’ll be the first to know as soon as my 2027 & beyond diary opens.

  • A £100 non-refundable retainer and signed contract are required to secure your wedding date. This retainer covers the work I do leading up to your wedding. The remainder of your balance is due two weeks before your wedding.

  • Every wedding is different, so the number of final images can vary depending on how the day flows — things like your timeline, the events, and what’s happening in the moment. I always focus on quality over quantity, and take care to select the images that feel the most meaningful and true to the day. Rather than giving a set number, I prefer to let your story guide me, ensuring you receive a collection that feels rich, genuine, and truly you.a

  • For Simply Us (6-hour package), coverage begins from the ceremony onwards. Typically, I arrive about an hour early to capture the venue and guests arriving.

If you choose A Touch of Blue or Forever & Always (8- or 10-hour packages), these include preparation photos — getting ready for your big day! Coverage usually starts 2–3 hours before the ceremony, but I’m always happy to begin earlier if you wish.

  • Your images will be ready 6 to 8 weeks after the wedding. However, I do always aim to deliver them sooner than this if possible.

  • Travel is included up to 50 miles each way (100 miles total) for weddings. For locations beyond that, I'm happy to provide a personalised quote.

  • Yes, absolutely!

  • Yeah, absolutely! You can change your package up to 2 weeks before the wedding.

  • Unfortunately, the complimentary engagement session can’t be exchanged, substituted, or refunded, and I’m unable to offer a discount if it’s not used.

  • Typically your engagement shoot will take place at the beginning of the year you’re getting married.

  • Yes, absolutely. I do take group photos, though I tend to keep these to a minimum — usually around 10 or so. My approach is natural and relaxed, with a focus on the quiet, candid moments that unfold throughout the day.

While I’m very happy to capture a few important group shots, I like to be honest that my style leans more towards authentic behind-the-scenes storytelling than posed. If lots of formal group photos are a really key part of what you’re looking for, I might not be the right fit — and that’s okay.

  • Great question! Think of a wedding content creator as another guest — but one who is dedicated to quietly capturing your day (and all those beautiful in-between moments) on their iPhone. While they’re not a substitute for a professional photographer or videograapher, they offer another beautiful perspective: raw, unfiltered moments — the knowing glances, the intimate laughter, the big bear hug between friends on the dance floor.

Within a week, you’ll receive a collection of candid photos & short videos, perfect for sharing on social media and reliving all that love & joy...while you wait for your professional images. Plus, content creators help your guests stay present — giving them the freedom to leave their phones tucked away.

  • To book 'Your Wedding Mum,' please contact me through the contact form on my website or email me at isabellekatephotography@gmail.com.

A £50 deposit/retainer is required, along with a signed content creation contract. The remainder of the balance is due two weeks before your wedding. Please note that the retainer is non-refundable.

  • No, my content creation services are exclusively paired with Isabelle Kate Photography. We work together to ensure your day is beautifully captured through both professional photography and real-time content.

  • The coverage for this service can be the same length as your photography package or shorter, depending on your needs.

  • You will receive all unedited content within a week of your wedding.

    *Professional photography will take longer.

  • You don’t have to book 'Your Wedding Mum' at the exact same time as Isabelle Kate Photography, but it's a good idea to book both as soon as possible.

  • No, there is only one travel fee that applies for both myself and Isabelle Kate Photography. This keeps things simple and cost-effective for you.

  • No, we don’t incorporate specific TikTok transitions or viral trends in the content. Our focus is on capturing genuine, natural moments from your wedding day. If you're specifically looking for content with trendy transitions or effects, we’d recommend hiring a content creator who specialises in that style.

  • No, content creation does not replace traditional videography. While I capture real-time moments and short clips for social media, I do not provide the same comprehensive coverage or storytelling that a professional videographer offers. If you’re looking for a complete wedding video, we would recommend hiring a dedicated videographer.
